Just a quick question - I understand you need to jack the rear end up > 30" to get the exhaust removed ....this will sound like a very dumb question, but how do you support the front of the car while you do this when using a floor jack (other than using a garage hoist).? (i.e .that the car doesn't roll forward and off the jack). Even with some wooden blocks, they're nowhere heavy enough to prevent the beast from rolling around. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Cheers
Jason
If you are not really setup for this i.e. do not have a lift, I would just find a competent dealer/muffler shop to do the job. I had mine done at a dealer for $85. You can probably get it done for $75-100 without eating the exhaust due to a shaky lift. Will also need new gaskets.
this is a easy swap, a shop could do it in 30-60min.
if you do it yourself, start by lifting the front about a foot and put it on stands. now lift the rear 30" plus. if you don't lift the front you will have the nose crushed on the floor.
