I am really getting confused on what kind of tires to put on my 01 C5. I am definately NOT going with fun flats. I was going with GY F1 GS D3's, but I have seen alot of good talk about the Nitto 555's. Others talk about Michelin's and BF's And Toyo's......and I dont know! I want good steering response and traction, and I know getting away from the EMT's will give me a softer ride. I am running the stock wheels. Let me know! Thanks!

I have stock wheels too. Check out my posts, I've been doing this Tire research for months now.. Finally, I'm getting GY GS-D3s put on tomorrow. Sizes: 255/45/17 (Front), 285/35/18 (Rear). I wish they came in Z06 sizes, then I would've gotten 295s in the back. Anyways, good luck with your search, they seem to be the BEST (1st), among 11 top notch tires according to Car & Driver.

The Goodyear GS D3's are an excellent overall tire.
i put z06 rims on my o1 coupe and run gy supercar tires too cold right now to give tire size but look at cat. at dealer you can go a little bit wider front and back you will woosse out on turns before the tires will. now the bad news i get 20000 mi. DONOT drive in a down pour put z06 sway bars on and have fun but your over steer on cornering will be back but not as bad on run craps also you might feel the car is a little loose at very high speed say 120+ all said i have run supers sence 22000mi. im at 99000 now ive been through many sets and still go back you want to play you pay
I don't take my car out in the rain but when I get caught in the rain, I love having the Goodyear D3's under me - they great in the rain as well as dry.

If you're not pushing too much power to the wheels (i.e. nearly stock), I'd recommend the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires. I've had the fun flats, for 20K & hated 'em, then I switched to the s-03's and was astonished with how much traction I had. After about 2 years & ~24K miles, I switched to the pilot sports and do NOT like them as much as the Potenzas! The sports just seem not to have as much traction as the potenzas in my opinion. FYI, I'm putting down roughly 340rwhp. Go to www.tirerack.com, they have some good info on normal street tires. Good luck!
