I searched the forum for my particular problem but could not find anyone with a similar problem. The right rear sensor on my 98 coupe started working intermittantly. I did the retraining but it did not help. Finally it quit altogether. I figured the battery was bad so I replaced the sensor. Now the new sensor won't train. The three others are fine.
I tried disconnecting the car battery and also drove around for a while and it still wouldn't train. Any ideas.
I am assuming the horn does not sound on the RR when all the other TPS the horn sounds? Just a thought, have you tried to train the RR in the LR position, just to see what happens. If it does not train in the left position then you may just have a bad sensor. If it does train in the left position and the other rear (now in the RR position) does not train there may be something wrong somewhere else. I have not seen this particular problem posted on the forum before either so I am just making a stab in the dark.
Correct the horn does not blow in the RR position. Yes, I tried training the LR in the RR position and it did train. Now the RR is showing the LR pressure on the DIS
The new sensor could be bad.
The new sensor might got damaged during installation.
The new sensor could be the wrong one.
The C5 has two different sensors. One for 97-00 and 01-04.
Anytime you replace a sensor you have to retrain all four.
I believe it starts with LF, RF, RR and LR.
