Default 2006 Z06 Brake Update!

Hi All,
With great pleasure I tell you that things are starting to roll with the brake setup. I've had plenty of rotors for quite some time. Now the calipers are starting to roll in. The problem child is the brake pads themselves right now, but I am working with GM on all of these items to get them to our valued forum members.

Next week, we will be receiving 3 complete sets of calipers, which we already have rotors for. I have 2 sets promised to 2 customers already and the 3rd set will be placed on eBay.

Remember, we are one of the first dealers in the whole country to receive these items. We are on the cutting edge of this stuff so that you may get it first!

Enjoy!

Here are a couple pics to get you guys revved up.

What tipe of prices are we looking at for a 4 wheel kit? Do you need a zo6 master cylinder or perportioning valve to make up for the extra serface area of more pistons?

How much clearance is needed for the front rims to clear the calipers? I'm asking because i'm not running stock rims or stock size rims.

Thanks!

Thanks!
I also want to see if they are going to fit my ccw track wheels. If somewone who has a kit or a 06 zo6 could make a template for caliper clearance it would help alout of people interisted in this upgrade. Hears a example from baer http://baer.com/baer/templates/img/n040u.pdf

If you guys are running the CCW track package, with the hub extentions, they should clear in an 18". As for other rims, Im not sure.

Dont even think about getting these brakes unless you have a 18" or larger front wheel. Supposedly these just barely clear some of the 18" 5 spoke repros I have seen pictures of.
Awesome brakes!!

I called them this afternoon, they are putting the third one on ebay and it sounds like the 1,795 deal no longer stands. I am kind of upset with myself for not ordering more quickly.

I told him a couple weeks ago I wanted to preorder a set and he said he would add me to the list... whatever that means..

What did he say they are going to sell for when they get more in? Some were saying they were going to be $1695
