by a series of freak coincidences, my garage door came down far enough (luckily) to only snap my antenna mast in half. do i need to replace the entire assembly or can i simply replace the metal mast that includes the plastic "rope gear." where can i get one? thanks.
I received it within 3 days of ordering it. He was a good seller no problems and it was dirt cheap for $11.95 compare to $39.95 at other places. GM wants about $150.00 for the complete unit.
I got it installed, but my antenna keeps spinning even though it is all the way in and I don't know what I am doing wrong. If you are able to get yours working correctly let us know.
I've got the same replacement from the same guy and don't have problems with it working properly. Once I got it to catch in the teeth on the belt it's been fine.
The dealership screwed my original up when the ignition switch went out and I had it in for service. Of course I didn't notice it for a couple of days so there was no way to go back on them. I just won't take it back to that dealership for service anymore.
ok guys. bought the antenna mast from the ebay seller mentioned above and installed it today. took a few tries getting the motor to grab the plastic antenna rope. however, the entirety of the antenna does not go all the way down when the radio is off. almost seems the last section of the antenna is too wide to fit in the antenna mount. am i being a complete idiot and missing something or did i get the wrong mast? everything else fits fine though.
