Default parking brake adjustment

How do you adjust the parking brake on a 97 vette? I have adjusted it from inside the rotor but I would like to have a little more adjustment in the brake handle..

Pull up on the handle three times, it is supposed to adjust the cable.

Just my $0.02, but most people who have done the adjustment of the parking brake via the starwheel on the parking brake shoe have not been completely satisfied...and it is an awful lot of work.

Be careful that you don't pull the brake shoe off the hub, the spring clip holding it in place is a super PITA to reconnect.

If you have a MN6, make sure you leave it in gear, first or reverse depending on the incline, even if you apply the parking brake. Better safe than sorry

I had to have this done today to pass the NC inspection. Service said they would try to adjust it or look into the parking brake handle problem. Well, they were able to adjust it at the rear wheels. Now the handle only comes up about 1/3 or 3-4 inches. Prior to that it would come up almost all the way. I read about the glue grease fix but didn't want to perform that fix so I left it up to the dealer. $126.00 to do the adjustment and pass inspection. Others say it won't last long so I wait and see.

I had to adjust about 35 clicks on the staradjuster and then a few more times rolling it back and forth pulling on the brake handle. It is alot better now. only comes up about 3 inches.
