Hey, I have a 2003 Z06 and I am intersted in getting some lowering bolts(I guess this is what I need) for Christmas. Now, I have heard many differnt ways of lowering on this forum. I just want to be clear on the best way to do it. I would like to go lower in the front and rear. I have heard some bad things about some of the lowering bolts, like that the rubber bushings that come with them crack or break. Is this true? Or should I just lower my car on stock bolts? Can you do this for the front and rear? Could I see some pictures of a Z lowered on stock bolts in the front and rear and then see a picture with a Z lowered on longer bolts in the back and front(can you get them for the front)? Im just really confused please someone clear this up for me and explain to me the best and safest way to do this. Thanks a lot, Jason.

Jason,
Do a search on the topic. There are some good write-ups. Patches has posted some very good pics of the job.
I strongly suggest you do this:
Pick a spot in your driveway or garage to use as a reference each time.
Take accurate measurements of the ride height with a known amount of fuel in the car. Write them down.
When measuring always use the same spot and have the same amount of fuel in the car.
Then follow the write-ups and lower the car as far as possible on the stock bolts.
Drive the car for about 50 miles then re-measure. See how the car feels (scraping) and looks and decide if you want to go lower and get longer bolts for the rear. Hardbar makes bolts for the front and rear. You can trim the front bushings. Do not cut the rear bushings!
Make final adjustments if needed and after 50 more miles have the car aligned.
