My 2000 C5 six speed has shown good oil pressure readings and used no oil the past year. Yesterday and today the oil pressure is suddenly reading 130 at all times. The engine sounds OK and seams to run fine. Any idea of the problem? Early signs of pump failure? ? ?
Please inform, as I hate to just turn it over to the dealer, as it is running so well.
Common problem. actually very common, lol. My car is doing it too. The sending unit is bad and needs to be replaced. If you're planning an intake swap now would be a good time to do it as the intake needs to be removed to get easy access to the sending unit. It doesnt HAVE to be removed i've heard but you need real small hands to get back there if you dont.

And also every oil seal on the engine would look like Old Faithful.
You will need to remove or re-position the intake manifold to get to it.
I recommend a Standard Motor Products PS-308. Would not recommend another Delco. Too many have had mutiple problems with Delco sending units. HTH
