Default Need Help Please.......

The other day while i was messing around with my car. I had a Superchips handheld tuner from a member. I was under the impression that they all have diagnostic programs in them other than just the tune. So I plugged it in and it asked if i wanted to install a the tune. i hit no. it asked me several more times. I hit no every time. (the tune was for an 04 auto, I have an 01 Z06) Evidently i slipped and hit yes button while i was getting ready to unplug it. It started loading and stopped mid process putting the car in a loop where it keeps saying reduced engine power, service traction control, service active handling, fuel empty. I took it to a dealer yesterday. they called me this morning and said that it cannot be reflashed in the current state it is in and i have to buy a new pcm. they want 630. dollars to "fix it". is this true. is there anyway to get the pcm back to where it can be flashed? Thanks for any help in advance. Bryan

How did it go. I think I would have let the superchips finish the tune then unload it putting it back to stock. Just my .02. Hope it all worked out.

yes,if you pulled it out during the flash, the pcm is now corrupted.trying to get into it now, will be like trying to pull teeth.depending on where in the flash you interupted it,more than likely it is now garbage.sorry
