I am moving the Z-06 Battery to my old truck. I looked at the Z0-6
Battery it says Nonspillable Fiber mat, Was heading to Interstate
but they Have Lead acid vented. Don't like the look of the optima.

News flash to you people that keep track of Z-06 diffferences

update it is a special battery that came in the only 2001,2002 z-06
2003,2004 show a regular battery number, but the 2001,2002
have a more expense, nonspillage fiber mat battery that is about
$40.00 than the delco listed for 2003, 2004.This is from my Dealer
parts counter.
I'm betting it's lighter weight than 33 pounds but I have not had it on the scale yet.

Check out the Exide Orbital, it is a more conventional looking battery. I don't know if it is better, but I've had no problems with mine.
There is also the Odyssey which along with being conventional looking is lighter than regular batteries. There was a post recently that listed the most popular batteries and their basic stats and weights.
