Was backing out of a tight parking spot with the wheels cut fairly tight when this loud "POP" comes from what seemed to be the right front wheel. Each time the wheel rotated, I heard this noise & it felt like the wheel had fell off. Once I straightened the wheel, all was good. Can't see any obvious problem. Anybody have a thought on this?
With the wide tires on the Corvette, when making a sharp slow speed turn, you probably heard the tires just breaking loose and being pushed sideways instead of rolling.
I have heard the same sound when the tires were cold on slick pavement or where some gravel was present.

I work for Goodyear here in Topeka And some of my Vette owner coworkers suggested this was what I was hearing........... Guess I'm a little paranoid here...........
