Okay, my Dad is about to freak out . The doors won't lock from either the key fob or the door control(either side). I checked all fuses, and I can hear the relays clicking, and if you manually lock the doors, they will unlock just fine. Any help would be very appreciated.
There is an electronic module in each door that controls the lock mechanism.... Failure of the module is a common problem. It results in erratic lock, unlock situations. Many replace the moudles themselves. Some have cut holes into the module and had good luck at repairing by cleaning the contacts with emery paper.
I'll see if i can find the post

Thanks, rws.1. I actually just searched the actual question i asked, i figured if it was That common, someone else would have already asked it. I actually didn't think about the module being the culprit, since I can hear a clicking in the door. Thanks for the links.

I have an occasional door lock act up and have found that if I cycle the inside door lock lever by hand a few times, it usually starts working again. Usually I "cycle" it back forth rapidly about five or six times. Apparently the door solenoid(s) get a little sticky from time to time. HTH
Simpy,
I don't know if the module is your problem, but it seems that that is most often the casue of the symptoms you describe.
Good Luck at finding the cause and getting it fixed.
