Default Dim lights in my dash

I have a 2002 convertible corvette and got a little upset when I noticed I could not read some of the gauges in the console. I took the Instrument Panel Cluster out of the dash to find five light bulbs to be burned out. Looking at the light bulbs I figured that this should be an easy fix but to my surprise I could not find the light bulbs any where. Can someone please tell me where and what kind of light bulbs I need?

Convert to LED's and never look back! You have also the option to choose colour.I did it for the entire door panels, dash cluster and AC control in less than a day. Follow the link for instructions.

Markus,

Thank you for the web site, but unfortunately it does not explain what LED’s to use to replace the Instrument Panel Cluster light bulbs. I have discovered a total of five burned out light bulbs and need to replace them. Also during the removal of the Instrument Panel Cluster I set the panel on its face for about a day. I did not know about damage I might have done to the filled air core gages, can some one tell me how I can check those gages to insure they are working correctly before I go through all the trouble of reinstalling the Instrument Panel Cluster?

Thanks for all the help!

Since the IPC bulbs are basically the same than the door panel bulbs, you can copy the instructions for them. 3.5 mm LED's in the colour of your choice plus 470 ohm resistor.
Before I reinstalled the IPC unit I hooked it up to the connectors to test all the functions. Little tight but it worked. I do not think you can damage something in the cluster just by storing it upside down. I painted the IPC bezel and installed those alloy rings and for that I had to turn and leave it that way several times with no prob

Marcus

Thanks again for your input. I feel a little better about my IPC. I am still on the hunt for the light bulbs and have been able to find all but the bigger of the three different types that make up the IPC. I talked to a local Chevy dealership Parts department today only to find out that they do not work on IPC's but send them to AC Delco Repair Center but he did not have a phone number for me to call them . Currently I am only two light bulbs away from getting my entire IPC repaired.
