Need help..stripped a bolt

Stripped a bolt on the muffler hanger, what are my options? I have no idea how to get to the bolts that seem to be in the frame.

Are these the two bolts that hang from inside the frame to support the muffler? I "lost" one for about 30 mins while I was installing my GHL system. I "found" it using a magnet. The only was to get access into the frame to change out a stripped bolt is to remove the rear fascia. Good luck to you!

Are the mufflers still bolted up with the nots on the bad threads?

I think I may solved the problem. I just bought a #10 tap/dye and will attempt to re-thread the sucker.

gdphillipsvette-we should get a poll going on the longest time to search and rescue that pair of muffler hanger bolts hanging down with in the rear frame....1.5 hrs for me last night

I about went nuckingfuts!

Congratulation, you are lucky to spent that little time fishing!

Hope you put a flat clip on the bolts to grip that u-bolt (and keep it from getting pushed back into the bumper).
