Default Porting LS2 TB, Restrictor plate ramblings...

We're installing another H & C combo this week and finally got our hands on the LS2 TB. At first glance it looks nice but on the top and bottom of the inlet there is almost a restrictor plate shape to the TB. Has anyone else ported one? I know the way the PCM works with idle and steps so we decided to do very little on the top but removed the restriction on the bottom. Would be interesting to see this on a flow bench to see if there is any difference.

When I first saw the LS2 TB I think my intent was to simply knock down and contour the transition from the casting to the milled surface area as it approaches the butterfly on the front and the back side. My $.02

We've been fully porting/flowing the LS2 throttle body for just a little over a year now with outstanding success. Additionally, it's overall design backed by sound GM engineering of the unit itself.

Contributes to excellent power output compared to other 90mm throttle bodies on the market, no drivability issues...ever, easy to calibrate, O.E. appearence, slight ventury effect at blade when ported properly which increases air speed for laminar air movement and increased airflow, (a huge "pipe hole" of a T.B. is NOT always better....) easy to find and cost effective.

Never had a reason to take pictures, as this is typically done in-house, so no pictures available~sorry.
