Default Sticky Clutch

I had the infamous sticky clutch problem. I replaced the clutch/flywheel/TB/Slave/Master with Z06 versions. The sticky clutch is back again 5k miles later. I'm assuming this is a slave cylinder issue. I've seen a few references to the "drill mod" for the slave cylinder but not sure how to do it. Any input on how to make this problem go away forever would be appreciated. On the other hand, any replies that say "use the search function" will NOT be appreciated as I have spent the last hour searching.

Thanks,
Sam

If You Got The Newer Version I Think The Zo6 Will Not Take The Drill Mod, It Should Be Already Opened Up More.

Well, I had the sticky clutch problem occur on high rpm shifts between second and third. The Dealer replace the entire clutch with a Z06 clutch under my extended warranty and the problem has not occurred since...

Check the condition of the fluid, if its black then its breaking down from excessive heat. Perform the drill mod if the slave falls into that catagory, and flush the fluid out and use DOT-5 which has a higher boiling point.

Remote bleeder is what it sounds like you forgot when the clutch got swapped. It makes changing the fluid very easy.

Remove the clutch assist spring. I tried everything before this basic mod and it fixed the problem right away (assuming you are referring to the clutch pedal sticking to the floor).

The clutch does not feel much different but the pedal never sticks now.

I already tried removing the spring and it still sticks.

Thanks,
Sam
