I have a 99 w/about 40K, just started missing real bad at idle tonight, Has anybody else experienced anything like that? Any ideas what it could be??
Out of warranty now, so looks like this one will be on me..
Any ideas/help is appreciated
Thanks
Re: Bad engine miss at idle Any ideas?? (MelloYellow)
Mine did that and I found out it was the weatherpack connector that connected the wiring harness to the coil packs. I jiggled mine around and it would miss. I replaced those and it hasn't missed a lick since. It's worth a shot.
Re: Bad engine miss at idle Any ideas?? (Big Carrot)
haven't pullled any plugs yet, plug wires look good. I'll take a look at those weather pack connectors, no check engine light either.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I seem to recall that C-5 TECH posted recently that the injector harness was prone to chaffing on the loom clamp and causing a miss. I think he said to look at #7....that may be wrong, but I think it was on the left bank.
If it is missing that bad I think you should see a flashing light.
