Default Question on warped rotors

I just received my 2002 Pewter coupe. I had a lot of problems with rotor warpage on my 99. So, I thought I would start off by torquing the wheels to the proper foot-lbs. Does anyone know if Chevy ever fixed the rotor problems? How many foot-lbs should the wheels be torqued to? These are the optional polished wheels.

100 ft lbs is recommended, although some use 90. Do them in 30,60,100 ft lbs increments. Good thing you are doing them right away in case they were not set properly by the dealer. Two of mine were on so tight that I almost needed a breaker bar to get them lose! Do several 40,50,65-to-0 stops to set the pads and rotors. Good luck; enjoy that car!! :D

Also as you torque them be sure to use a "star" pattern as you torque. Skip every other nut so you dont get one side tight and one loose.
