Changed my differential fluid to royal purple.
Was hearing some roaring noise on right and left turns.
After the change no more noise.

I think I am going to use it in the trans and motor also.

Anyone running royal purple in the motor ??

Seems to be some high quality stuff.

In the spring, I'll be changing my rear differential fluid and transmission fluid.

Transmission: Royal Purple Synchromax.
Differential: Royal Purple 75W90 Synthetic Max Gear Oil
Engine: Red Line’s Synthetic 10W40 Engine Oil

Yeah I run the RP 5w30 in the engine. I might step up to 10w40 in the summer, not sure though???

I like RP alot!! Car used to smoke some oil a tad when on it hard. I noticed it on the dyno. After RP no more!

RP is well known for their synthetic industrial gear oils.
I use it in my transmission, but remain with Mobil 1 in the rear diff and engine

I use RP in the motor 10/30, trans MN6 and differential. I have a FI engine so I can not tell you if I like it better than Mobil 1 my mechanic loves it, however the tranny shifts eaiser and the rear seems quieter. My mechanic uses it in all his Vettes (5) and Esclade. If your are stock for the motor I had no issues with Mobil 1, however the trans was well worth the change and a somewhat quieter differential is also a plus

Have run RP in my 00 M6 for several years. Good stuff. Have Redlin in the tranny & diff. It's about the same as RP only cost more.

I am going to change my oil Friday, and was wondering, was there lower oil temps when useing Royal Purple in any of your Vettes?
I use Mobil 1, 10w30. But I have a larger motor, 3.73 gears and a higher stall in my C4, which causes the motor oil to run a little hotter.

I changed to RP Synromax in my M6 and GearMax in the rearend last Friday. Transmission seems to be smoother now. A lot of racers I know use it with good results so it made the choice alot easier for me.

I changed my M12 tranny to RP a week or so ago...huge change and feels much better. Heck it is even smooth when cold and not all tight like it was with GM fluid in it (had 10k on the fluid too from dealer work). Next up, motor oil!

Any information on the "paper" spacer problem when using synthetic in the Transmission on M6 '99 models?
Is it safe to use or not?
Has anyone experienced any problems?

This past week I went all RP. 10W30 in the engine, ATF in the tranny and 75W90 in the diff.
The emgine seems to have lost the piston slap on start up..it wasn't a bad slap but noticeable for about mile of driving....RP seems to have quieted that down.
Have also changed all fluids in my Jeep to RP...guess you can say I'm sold on it.
