Borla website sucks. Need help
Ok, I have decided to pony up the $$ for a new Borla Exhaust for my 04 Vert, but which one? Borla's website is useless. I know I want a Quad-Tip Cat-back system. I may put an X-pipe, but don't know yet. What are the different Borla Catbacks, and what is the difference? On the website, they have different pricing for ones that LOOK identical, and the desciption is the same. HELP!!
To be honest with you, I heard someone's Borla Stinger exhaust at a local shop and liked it. He had no X-Pipe and it sounded awesome. (Old style "Rumble")
All he told me was that it was the "Borla Stinger Quad tip". I had the same problem, as it seems there are half a dozen different models on their site w/different part numbers. (Stupid on their part I think)
Rather than figure it all out, I just went with Corsa's Indy Pace Car exhaust as I liked the sound of them to begin with.
Stupid decision on Borla's part as I would have probably bought from them if it weren't so confusing.
I went the Stinger quad ovals and LOVE THEM . One of the best mods I did. I didn't get the X pipes yet. I was going to buy them also, but they didn't have them at Carlisle to install. They didn't want to get involved in cutting the pipes there. They were banging them out! They sound great, and the interior isn't crazy. They have a nice deep rumble and no outboard motor sound. They are awesome when you get on it. Bought them and had them installed in Carlisle. I am very happy with them. To tell you the truth, the ovals and the rounds are not all that differant. A friend of mine has the quad rounds, and when the cars are parked next to each other, many people can't tell the differance.

So are you saying (or is Borla saying) that the shape of the tips will make a difference in the sound or performance? I thought it was just for cosmetics?
From Tbyrne:
14946 1997-'04 Borla Dual Split rear exit $1229.99
14961 1997-'04 Borla Dual Split rear exit $1229.99
Both have same picture and nothing tells me WHICH is the stinger. They are just as bad as Borla
