Kumho Ecsta Spt Ku31??
Any buzz on these tires? I found a source online which is selling them for <$397plus shipping for all four. They're classed as W-rated Ultra-high performance summer tires 320wear.

I'm thinking $400 cannot be a bad thing. I won't list the website until I get some indication that they're legit.
Thanks,

Tire Rack has these for $102 & $122 each. $450 per set Wow !!!
Everything I've read from Kumho site and the Internet Searches I've done says they are the next gen to the Kuhmo 712's. Kumho says they offer better dry and wet grip, as well as lower noise then the 712's. They also have some kind of wear indicator so the consumer can keep an eye on even wear.
If you go to the Kuhmo site and check the tire grid for this tire it puts them between the MX (Max) and the 712's/ASX (UHP) models.
So Im have to assume they are better performance (grip) then the 712's and ASX, but maybe give up some ground to the MX for better wet traction and lower noise.
The 712's was a very successful tire for them, and everything I've read suggest they performed great but were loud.
Maybe Luke @Tire Rack should get involved here.
The other Tire I'm considering is the Firestone Wide Ovals which a lot of C5 guys are raving about. They say the FSWO are rebadged Bridgestone 750's

Can you give us a little more input, i.e. How do they compare to the OEM tires in cornering wet & dry grip. Are they as wide as they oem's.
Do you have any pics of them on your C5 that you could post

Actually, the FS Wide Ovals use the carcass of the Bridgestone S02's. My best friend is an engineer and test driver for BS/FS.
