Default '97-'00 v.s.'01-'04 Headers. What's the Diff?

What is the difference in headers between a '97- '00 and '01-'04. In other words which do you need for a '98 with an '02 LS6? Thanks.

Best I can tell, the location of the A.I.R. check valve fitting is on different tubes. This would mean that the steel pipe that goes down to the pass. side header from the A.I.R. check valve behind the manifold may have to be shorter/longer. I don't see what would prevent you from using the steel pipe from a later model as it would reach. Not positive, but the A.I.R. fitting on the driver's side may be in the same location. As I said, not sure on that one though.
Anyone else help him here?

Yep, it's the pass-side A.I.R tube length that makes them different. All else is the same.

I put '99 Dynatech LTs on my 04 C5. AIR tube is the only difference. Requires removal of the intake manifold to get to the connection to remove the AIR tube to swap them out. I put an AIR tube from a 98 on mine, and have the 04 AIR tube in my garage, shipping and it is yours. No problems, no codes. My tube would let you put the 02 style on your 98 ( or did I get that backwards )

Thanks. That is why I asked. I will actually have both tubes but I noticed that the supermaxx set up from '01-'04 is about $300.00 more than the '97-'00. Thanks for the offer though.
