Default Oil cooler?

Someone recommended an oil cooler for tracking. Is this a worth while mod? If so, any suggestions?

If you have the jack this is the best way to go.

Unless you are regularly exceed 280F oil temp, I wouldn't do it. The greater concern is that the oil stays too cold all the time. Your oil must reach 212F every once in a while to fully burn off contaminants and moisture.

If you run high oil temps all the time I would rather go to a 5W-40 oil than put an oil cooler in.
I really think an oil cooler only makes sense for autocrossers or very high speed driving applications such as on Germany's autobahn.

Are you saying an oil temperature of 243 degrees at a DE event is okay?
