The key fob remote stopped working on my '98 Coupe. The car doesn't respond to the unlock, lock, panic, or trunk release buttons on the key fob. It was acting up intermittently at first and then after a few weeks stopped working all together. I don't think the problem is the key fob because I have replaced the batteries with brand new ones. Also, both key fobs don't work, even though they both used to. So I think the problem is with the electronics in the car.
I'm guessing it's either the antenna which receives the signal or the computer/controller unit. Where are these things located? I have heard the antenna and control unit is behind the interior panel on the drivers side. How do I remove the interior panels to get to the remote electronics? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
