I have spoken with Corsa within the past three weeks and the system will be in the $1700-$1800 retail range.. which is less than posted Borla info I have seen.
I read Motor Trend (I think) at a store today while waiting and they had an ad for the Borla Ti. The retail price listed in Borla's ad was $2199...noticed that since I had read $2500 here.
Nate, keep us informed about the Corsa. Might be one of your first customers.
Yes, to me it seems like more of a novelty. I doubt Corsa/Borla would have even developed a titanium exhaust if Chevrolet hadn't first done it on the Z06. It seems like you could add that extra grand+ (over the price of say a Corsa Indy) into some engine mods that would help you more than the weight savings from a titanium exhaust. Now... if money wasn't an issue, I'd definitely get one.
Yes, that is correct. I spoke with our Corsa rep today and he said that it will flow 122% better over stock. It will weigh roughly 20 lbs lighter over the stock Z06 system, offer hp and tq numbers higher than any other system out there for the C5 and will NOT have any interior resonance.
The Corsa Titanium system will eliminate piping from the factory H-pipe back and the mufflers will NOT be mounted where the existing factory mufflers are mounted to decrease weight dramatically. The mufflers will be mounted in the area where the existing factory H-pipe is and will clamp on so that no welding will be required. The tips are said to be 2 Titanium 4.5" in a round design. The system will be a full Titanium including the tips.
Re: Any word on Corsa Titanium? (L.A. Performance Division)
Saw the prototype last Labor Day. Looking forward to seeing the production version. We have a few customers ready to purchase one if it comes out as promised.
