Well my front drivers side tire pressure sensor has went out. Now my key fob doesn't work with the car even after numerous resynchs. Now i am getting a message on the display. Service tire monitor system, low tire pressure, service vehicle soon. What does the service vehicle soon mean. Just replace the sensor? Check tire pressure? I would appreciate any help on this.
Replace the battery in the FOB. Replace the tire pressure sensor? Both of those things are going to loose battery power over time. You didnt say what year your C5 was...if its older, it just may be time...

Average life on the TPS' is 5-7 years. The sensors in your 99 were probably made in 98. That makes them 8 years old now. If you are due for new tires soon, I would just replace all four at once. Otherwise, at least replace the one that is bad. Keep the other three on hand for the next tire change.

Opps, missed the key fob issue. You can open the key fob with a dime in the little groove on the edge. Replacement batteries are available at Radio Shack.

that's because the pcm saw something that's not right.what faults do you have?the car will tell you.hold the options button down and tap the fuel button 4 times, the car will go into diagnostics, the first to show will be the pcm, then post your code[s]
Another way to go is to replace the battery in your existing sensor. I've seen sites on how to scrape the sealant away, replace the $3 battery, reseal, and re-install. I'll look for site agian, maybe some others have seen it can can link?
