Default Need advice on my Check engine light

I need Some serious help now. I put a Vortex Rammer on the car about two weeks ago and the car ran fine. The little hose that ran into the side of the stock air box I put a K&N mini filter on today. I am running a loudmouth exhause with Magnaflow High flow cats. This is the Loudmouth without mufflers. My Check engine light came on tonight. The exhaust is popping a little more than usual, is this my computer just relearning the mods or what do you think I should do? Even though the exhaust was popping more I didn't lose any performance, and it ran smooth at idle

Use your DIC and see what code it shows.

Key on,engine off
Hit reset to clear the DIC
Press and hold OPTIONS and press FUEL 4 times
Let it go through all systems
When DIC shows "manual diagnostics",press FUEL
PCM will show and display faults
After faults are shown, press RESET to clear.

10PCM displayed 1 code. Not sure what that is. Is that O2 related or is it due to the changing of the intake?

We need the actual code (should be four digits, with possibly a letter preceeding it and a C, H, or both after) to be able to help you.

Vortex ram air, correct? Check to make certain the clamps are all snug but don't overtighten!! Could be as simple as an air leak particularly since is seems ok at idle?

Thanks for the list of codes and I will get on it as soon as the weather clears back up. Unfortunately I reset the codes so I will have to wait until the light comes back on, That's if it comes back on. Hopefully it was a TEMPORARY Burp in the system. Once again thanks for the help.

Well I hope you all have a while to read this, cause here is the LIST of my codes.
28-tcs - C1232H, C1283H
AO LDCM - B2252H, B2282H, B2284H, U1064H
A1 RDCM - B2253H, B2283H, B2285H, U1064H, U1016H
BO RFA - U1096H, U1064H, U1016H, C2120HC

I Bought this car about Three Months ago and never checked these codes, I do know the car was in the shop for a new active handling sensor prior to me buying it. I am not sure if these codes are mostly due to battery being disconnected, Battery dieing, or what, I have reset all these codes and I will wait to see if these codes pop back up, if they do, I would like to know what kindof problem I am dealing with. I'm hoping someone here can give me some sort of info on this.
Thanks,
Shawn

right now,you should have a message in the dic saying "service tire pressure system"or something of that nature.the fault means the rfa module is not seeing the sensors in the wheels

AH YES, I have a 99 and the wheels I have on my car are from a 2002 and I don't have any sensors in them. However I did have a PCM code last night that turned on the Check engine light and I accidently reset it before I got to read it, OOPS, I will have to wait and see if it comes back on.

You'll have to reset it everytime you start the car. Or ignore it which is hard to do .

Well, now you know how to get the codes. Here is a link to some code listings. http://www.davidfarmerracing.com/dtc-c5.PDF There are others floating around the internet. Also, if you're gonna do much work on your car, may I suggest the 3-vol factory service manual. It's about $125 shipped from Fred Beans or Fichtner Chevy. It will have every possible code for your car, plus recommended actions for each.

Shawn>>after you get some of this cleared up, shout at me if you want sensors. Got a set that is putting out 3.5volts as I tested them. Bought them a while back from another member on here. I've already got 2 sets for myself..........

This'll BUMP you!!

Default 10-PCM code

The code that has come up for the Powertrain Control Module is P0410(AIR System) Is this due to changing from a Stock Air Box to the Vortex Ram Air? If so, If I follow the directions to relearn the computer will this code go away?

there was a hose on the original airbox.did you reattach it or did it pop off the junction?

That code is for the Secondary AIR injection system. That is the electric air pump which injects air into the exhaust to help warm up the cats. It indicates both sides not getting air flow, so a bad pump, electrical connection, or clogged hose before the tubing splits to each side and connects to the exhaust manifold. I recently had this code. I reset it and it has not re-occurred.

The hose that was on my Stock box was taken off the Stock box and I placed a small K&N Filter on it and ran it through the shroud. However FDXpilot hit the nail right on the head, and for that I am so graceful. The hose conecting to the manifold dry rotten right at the manifold and split all the way around(hanging by a thread) Awsome and problem is solved. Thanks for all who helped.
