Help with temporary oil burning issue please...
Today, I opened my car up on the Beeline highway running to 6500 rpm and 145 mph. This I do regularly on the track without issue, but today a lot of white smoke and oil spewed out the back. After slowing down over the next mile, the smoke cleared and didn't recur over the next hour driving. I did get the rpm's up to 6500 again without incident. Did I just send a dollup of oil thru the PCV into the intake, or can this be something more serious. Everything under the hood looks fine without evidence of oil leaks, but my homemade catchcan has more oil in it than usual. There are no strange sounds, and no loss of power.

Most likely just your pcv, espacialy if you did some engine braking. You may want to replace it if its still original (with a delco) FYI you might want to edit the "racetrack" that you did 145 at. Of corce I never speed, that would be wrong
