Default Help with Intake Manifold Cover Install

I'm about to install a carbon fiber intake manifold cover and would like any tips from those who have already done such an install. I understand that you remove the four bolts that hold the fuel rails on, then lift the fuel rails up to slip the cover underneath it and then bolt it back up. I've noticed that the fuel rails will not lift more than an 1/8 inch since the injectors are attached. If I lift further I will dislodge the injectors. Do the injectors pressure fit back into place? Do I need to change O rings on the injectors and lube them before putting them back into place?

Any help would be appreciated so that I do it right the first time. I've seen posts on this before, but have been unable to locate them via the search feature.

Get the rails up high enough to pop the injectors out, I actually tied a piece of rope around the rails to lift them straight up. takes a little oomph to pop the injectors........ Just take a look for dirt, sand, etc. and pop them back in. didn't mess with the o rings and all is well.........

Thanks for the info. I got it installed tonight, quite a chore for as simple as it looked. trying to figure out if the CF Cover should go under the mounting flanges of the fuel rails or on top of them took some time. I found that the injectors wouldn't seat with the cover installed underneath the fuel rail flanges. I finally found a way to get the cover to mount on top of the flanges and get the injectors in place. Hopefully that is how it was intended. Thanks again.

It looks pretty nice with the flamed fuel rail covers, brings out the silver in them. The aluminized carbon fiber really makes the Alt and bracket look like crap though. It's been put on the list to chrome. I'll post a pic or two once I can get a sunny day.
