should I change shifter?

Should I remove the ripper shifter and reinstall the original shifter before I bring my car in for a transmission problem to the dealer?Thanks for your help

No, an after market shifter does not void your warranty.

I would. Gm tried to blame a transmission problem on the shifter. He removed it took it back and said it still does it. They replaced the whole shifter.
