What intake is to be used? LS1, LS7, or C5R? LS2 only, because of bore size?

Not sure of intake. Yes, bore size was the issue. 6.0 on up.

Aggressive meaning they're going to be a very reasonable price and thus competitive?

Word,

I believe these are the L92 (truck) heads - and they should work on LS1/LS6 ( as cast 6.0L bore and smaller valves seats than LS7).

The flow #s and valve sizes above aren't as cast (TXNC5 reported on L92 heads in late summer 2005 - maybe he'll chime in with additional info ).

FWIW.

Bink,

They will not work on LS1's 99mm bore. This was the original belief and hope. The stock bore is too small on the LS1. Update: The flow numbers were based off a mildly ported set.

The information came straight from GM. It is as stated, unless they make changes. Going into production now. Information should be hitting the newsstands this week as well.

Piano "Aggressive meaning they're going to be a very reasonable price and thus competitive?"

And then some...

Brent.
At that price, are they iron or aluminum? I'm assuming aluminum, although experience would say iron. I'm sure that to run an aggressive cam one would need to upgrade the springs. Also, do you know what the chamber size will be? I would think that a sleeved LS1 with larger than 4" bore would work if the bolt pattern matches. Looks like an LS2 in my future even though I've been shying away from it due the the knock sensor incompatability.

So how do we get around the knock sensor issues? I've read they were incompatible, but haven't read about any solutions.

Are people just disabling them?

The knock sensor can be easly fixed. We have ran LS2 sensors with a Racetronix wiring harness. We have done about 7 of these with great results.

Otherside of this, LS-2 Short block, (3000) these heads and intake (2000)

Where does this put a nice 550HP crate motor to be swapped into C5's

Can't wait to see pricing and specs

Did anyone determine what intake it will require?

Just run the LS1 knock sensors. They work fine with no tuning needed.
