Default HUD Harness

I'm gathering the parts needed to add HUD to my FRC. I have all the parts with the exception of the Harness.
Is it possible to make one? Anybody have the schematic and plugs?
Anybody know why GM does not list this? At least I could not find it.
Seems kind of odd that everything can be bought from GM yet this part.
What if one were to go bad in a Warranty situation? Would the Dealer have to search out the services of an Electrical Engineer?

If one went bad under warranty, the dealer could probably fix it. If they couldn't, then they would order a replacement instrument cluster new, which comes with the wire. that said, it's very unlikely it would ever go bad.

I have a DIY harness for $45 if you are interested...

Be warned Josh's harnesses use very thin guage wire. I bought one from him and one of the wires was cut clean through during the crimping process. I fixed it by splicing in a lead from my original dash light harness. I have also seen harnesses on Ebay.

Just to clarify, the "Josh's" harness he is referring to is not mine...but the one linked above.

My harnesses all use GM factory wires, crimped by the original supplier (even the DIY version). The crimping tool alone to do this correctly is over $1000...

Here is some photos of the cable so you can build one if you have plugs (or other options). I was going to solder the wires directly to the cluster and switch with my own plug in the middle but no one would give me the schematic of the cable. Finally found one! So I share this with everyone so people can make their own if they want!

Good luck
