I have a 2000 with 21K on it. I started getting a message of Low Washer Fluid.Used the Service Manual and replaced the sensor. Still have the problem. It will go out if I press the reset button, but will come back on when I start the car again. Any help, Thanks
Have you tried just taking the switch and forcing the contacts open to see what happens. I am guessing it is a float that has open contacts when fluid is above the float/sensor. This would simulate washer fluid above the switch.
Oh boy this bugged me for a year after I replaced it. Then some good guy on the forum said to turn the sensor 180. I was willing to try anything. It worked for me. Unbelievable.
When I bought my '99 FRC, kept getting low washer fluid status. Kept putting in fluid, it'd go away and the alert would come back with little use of the washers over time. Bothered me, couldn't figure out where it was going. Finally found that there was a hairline crack along the molded seam of the washer tank, and washer fluid was leaking out slowly. Repalced the tank, no more problems. The fluid level sensor (white cylindrical object at the back of the washer tank) has a grove on it that is supposed to line up with the small lip on the washer tank sensor hole.
