Check engine light comes on and code P1416 comes up. What exactly do I need to replace?

more than likely the check valve behind the intake went bad or the hose is off.if the valve is bad,you have to pull the intake off.

What happens if I run the car for a few weeks before taking it in for service?

nothing other than light pops on.it's not going to hurt the cats.ll it does is pump fresh air in to help fire them up on cold starts.after the car is warm you don't need it.

WOW thanks for the information. Living in Florida I dont get many cold days. In fact 70 is considered cold here....lol

Each time the check light comes on I will check the code and if it is this same code I will just reset and move on down the road.
