Default Mods installed - What a difference

Today i installed the first Mods in my C5.

K&N gen II
HighFlow MAF
Fuel Recurve Line
relocated MAT sensor

WOW, what a difference. At WOT the car sounds totally different. Especially above 4000 RPM i feel SOTP and can hear a great intake noise !

Cant wait to get the B&B installed (still waiting in the cellar . . .)

Yep, its like a whole new car. I don't know why guys leave them stock. A couple changes and the car runs and sounds so much better. You will love the B&B!!!

Are you putting on B&B headers or exhaust? If you install the headers be sure that you de-burr the AIR tubes. If you don't you might get some emissions codes...a real pain. :mad

Wow! It's in the early evening and you guys are still at 113 degrees down there ? Man, I don't know if it's better to have the top on or off in that kind of weather! You need some kind of temperature mod!!!

Jochen,

It appears that you are even more of a menace on the autobahn than previously. Way to go. :D :D

That intake noise is probably reminiscent of the sounds the old 4 barrel Holly and Rodchester carburetors made when the other 2 barrels kicked in.

Good luck with the mods and stay safe.
Mark

Have you had any DIC codes with the upgrades? I guess the 97 likes the K&N w/MAF ends and does not need 5% richer on the fuel curve.

Thanks for all the positive replys. I have to install the B&B exhaust. Will do that in about 1,5 weeks from now.

I havent got any DIC codes. Car runs great. Idled for about 5 min with A/C on then A/C off. Drove abot 20 miles before WOT.

No missfire, no detonation (beside the desired ones :D )
