Im having problems starting the darn thing . No codes , dash lites all on , just nothing to the starter. Seems like it just refuses to read the key(s). I thought I had it fixed by cleaning the ignition switch with contact cleaner but I got stranded again last nite . It will usually start if I wait an hr or so but that is a pain .
I saw a Security Bypass thing in Ecklers that you plug in and it acts like the key code . Has anyone tried this ? If so is it hard to install ?
I've run the gammut of replacing things trying to eliminate this problem. So far, I've replaced the battery, key (with pellet), ignition, clutch safety switch (MN6). I still had the problem yesterday same as you. I've got a theft deterrent relay switch on order for tomorrow. From what I've ascertained this can be a likely problem. It receives all the input from the BCM, the key pellet, clutch safety switch etc and then gives the signal to the starter to start. If this doesn't fix it, mine could possibly be the starter. Thats next I suppose. I'll keep you posted, let me know too if you figure it out.

Ed , are you still having the wont start problem ?? I thought I had my fixed with a VATS bypass install but........yesterday and today the gremlin came back . Now Im thinking it might be the starter . GAry
I recently replaced the starter theft deterrent relay, the last piece before the starter and the next day it did it to me again. Following another persons advice, I had a coworker give me a push start. I let off the clutch and it was just enough to turn the starter a little bit, and i turn the key and she fired right up. Today it goes in for a new starter. Hopefully that will be it.

Starter seems to have been the problem. Almost 1 month now, and only 1 no start. And that threw a code, something about the key not being recognized by the BCM. It would turn over, start and then die because of no fuel. Cleared the code and she's run fine since. Before it wasn't throwing codes, just not starting. I never did install the VATS bypass. Did that work?

Ed, glad you seem to have found your problem . I thought the VATS bypass was my fix but ....... So now I think the only thing to do is replace the starter like you did . I'll let the forum know if it works . Thanks again . Gary
