Code 1296

I got this code on for the active handling, so when i checked the code it says brakes pressure sensor. So today i called the dealer and i was told that i can't get the sensor by it self, i have to buy the whole valve for $1150.00

. So here's my question who got the best prices on those valves?
By the way the car is 01 coupe 6 speed.

your fault is for a master cylinder brake pressure sensor.it is the sensor screwed into the side of the pump.you can replace it seperately.at least i can on my 03.they should be the same.

But it showed as a part of the pump it self when i looked at the screen. I hope what your saying is true so i don't have to spend that much on fixing it. Can any one else confirm this?

repair manual shows it as being replaceable
