I am removing the front drive accessories from a 02 LS6 and can't get to the two bolts that hold the alt/power steering bracket on that reside behind the PS pulley . Do you have to remove the PS pulley, if so what is needed to pull it... or is there a way to get the entire pump/pulley out of the way to get to these bolts. Thanks

Just use an open end/box end wrench (15mm i think) and go 1/2 turn at a time alternating between the 2 and pulling the bracket out each time. Its a PITA but you dont have to remover the pulley

I have already managed to get all but the bolt in the 10 o'clock position behind the pulley. That little PITA I can't even get the wrench on it unless the PS hose or the water pump come off How did they assemble these friggin things at the factory??? I'm sure they did'nt have a line of morons turning the bolts a quarter turn at a time Thanks for the feedback
I also have an Impala that I had to remove the power steering pump to get the water pump off. I thought the power steering pump bolts were impossible to get off until I realized the engineers had put holes in the pulley that line up with the bolts by just rotating the pulley to the right position.
I don't understand why all cars, especially the Corvette, cannot be designed to make maintenance a little easier.
By the way, the Chassis service manual for a 2003 Corvette shows to remove the PS pump pulley as a step before removing the PS pump mounting bolts. Looks like they expect you to have a puller to remove and reinstall the pulley to replace the pump.

You can get a power steering pump puller from a auto parts store usually around 30-40 bucks. Heck, some autoparts stores will let you rent them for free. Worth it if you do all your own work and you won't run the risk of breaking the pulley either. You can also use it on all GM cars and trucks.
By the time you get one full turn of the bolt with the pulley in the way, you could have the pulley off and the bolts to the PS off too.
Well I knew if I stepped back and thought like a GM engineer it would be clear how to get it off. Yep, just popped the res tank off and pushed it as far as I could out of the way and wala the bolt came right out Thanks for all the help guys!! It would have been a lot easier if there was a hole in the pulley!!
