New Exhaust Sound
After seeing some of the prices of new exhaust systems, I decided to try a little something different. I took the stock resonator and mufflers off my 02, cut the pipes right after they come over the rear axle attached straight pipes into stainless y-pipes that run flush with the rear of the car. So basically, I am running cat-only exhaust. At low idle, the car has a low rumble, but at WOT, it sounds extremely aggressive!!

I've been driving it to work this week ( alot of highway), ad haven't really noticed any obnoxious resonance. At low idle and cruising speeds of 70 to 80 MPH, it's pretty quite, surprizingly. Now at WOT, she screams!! It's very deep! Kinda sounds like it has headers. I will get with my pal who is a computer whiz and try to get some sound clips. Unfortunately, my home pc isn't set up fot it :o Everyone at my work loves it, they say it sounds like a true musclecar LOL. It does kinda sound like my pals exhaust, SLP on an 02 SS camaro. Think mine sounds a little better! I will be in Jackson in a few weeks, if anyone want to check it out then, in the meantime, I will try and get some clips.
