Default Need Advice

I am considering some mods to my 04 Coupe. The only mods I have at this time are Halltech Stinger with cold air cut out on shroud and a Borla cat back. Don't have alot of cash so was considering a cam/spings/rods . I have gotten different opinions; some say do it and others say it is a waste of time unless I do headers. Please help me spend some money. Do not want to go over about a grand or so. Should I do used headers or the cam? Or somthing else?

Alan

For under a thousand the headers are your only option. Even if you can do the cam yourself, it will run more than 1k, and without a tune will not be very effective. Headers on the other hand can be run pretty well even without a tune.

Tune will be done. That is not included in the 1k. I can get the springs for a song from a friend.

Headers will give you more than just changing springs on a stock engine. Mind you, it won't necessarily hurt anything, but I wouldn't expect much change with just springs.
If I were changinging a cam I wouldn't use used springs (assuming your friend's springs are used).
Now headers and a cam? That's a different story.

You are not going to do decent headers for under $1k. LG has a deal on street series, but its about $1200 without cats.

I did the breathing apparatus first (headers/blackwing/corsa). WIll do the head/cam mods later this year.

Springs are brand new in the box. This is confusing. Maybe I should take my $ and run.
