id have to say 1 is a real need to actually shift the car and feel like im in controll!! but thats ok because it only happens 1 or 2:00 in the morning when im on the road by my self.
Ive noticed that my vette gets SPANKED when it comes to other stock/slightly modified vettes :( I almost had my foot handed to me by this lil vw something or other the other night , it kept up with me more than id like!
what actually gets rid of the A4 delay when you slam on the gas for it to go , go , GO!! :cry :mad
also i like rubbin on the lady , holding drinks in place , i guess thats about it. im not going to do a steeewwpiddd poll about this either
No regrets..............
Keep it in 2nd & do not put it in Overdrive when driving "Spirited"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Choice between the "Lady" & "Racing" hum..................
I believe more racing = more Lady .
:D :D
Steve
I have no regrets either. I have raced lots of mustags and ricers and haven't had much problem. Although I did have some trouble with an M5. I usually drive around in 3rd and only use 4th OD when I get on the Freeway or Highway.
Sometimes, but after the Powerloader II, I feel that I have better control of how it moves. On city driving the A4, with the powerloader, is the only way to go! :D
No regrets, however, I don't like the shifter which makes you feel you're adjusting the deck height on a lawn tractor; don't hold your breath waiting for an aftermarket supplier to come up with an alternative. The torque converter should have been a switch pitch design as in late '60's GM transmissions so that both low and high stall capabilities could be available to the computer as well as lockup OD.
Willa,
Make the other cars run where you are the strongest. Go from a dead stop, not a roll, powerbrake and you'll leave the M6 cars right away,(they will be spinning), don't shift manually,(the A4 shifts faster under wot than we can), get on the brakes at what would be the end of the quarter,(103 to 105 or so).
You guys are on crack! I don't care what you say, that damn Powerloader and or cold air intake is not gonna give you squat. Maybe a few horsepower, but I did the Halltech that everyone raves about. It's all in your head, I felt nothing. You want your car to feel responsive? Do the gears and a converter. Until you do, you are gonna get smoked by an M6 every time. My car was slow as **** with 2.73's. Of course it was, they're 2.73's!!! Put a $50 K&N conical filter on it and go.
If I said I did it on purpose I would be lyin. Sometime poopie just happens huh ? The sizes look fine to me but what do they look like to you ?, (remember I'm the guy that wants to stop big sigs from infecting the whole crop).
our 2000 C5 has the A4. Can't speak for everybody, but for us, given that both of our other vehicles have manual transmissions (that says something), it was a big, BIG mistake :(

Re: Paging A4ers (Willa)

Oh yea just think of the positives.
1) No tired legs.
2) No tired arms.
3) What women can do to ya with an a4....Whooo Hooo :D
And is not the a4 a little faster in the longest run or something?
