Default Hole in the upper-front susp. arm???

What's it for? You know, the one if the top middle of the arms...that nothing is hooked up to? I've had crazy ideas about how to utilize them...

if it's the threaded small hole parallel to the frame, it's where the RTD position sensor linkeage connects. Without a pic, I not sure which hole you're talking about.

Check the pics in these instructions:

I'm curious about the nub in figure 2 and 3.

Off topic, but I'm so impressed by the instructions on the Vette Brakes page that I may order a set this month to reward them for a job well done!

I just finished installing a set of the VBP bushings on my 2001 Coupe. Just be sure to read the instuction carefully and pick-up a ball joint press to get the old bushings out. And remember when doing the rear bushings not to damage the shock mount rubber bushing as you re-use them (i.e don't touch them). It took me a (2) days to the front and (2) days to do the back. At the same time I put in Z06 springs, bilstien shocks, moog ball joints, hotchkin sway bars, heavy duty tie rod ends and wilwood brakes.

Haven't had much time to try them out as I dropped the Car off at ACP - Corvette Race Bodies to have ACP Z11 body kit installed.

leaftye...yes, that little threaded nub is where the RTD shock position sensor attaches to the upper control arm. Hope that helps.

John, yes, that does help. I've never seen the RTD sensor. Does it look like a little shock? I imagine hardcore racers could hook up their own sensor there to analyze how much damping they'd require at a particular track, and how low or light the car gets. It'd be fun to play with....if I had the money and knowledge to take advantage of it!

Leaftye - It's just a little box mounted to the frame with a lever arm and a small linkeage to the upper control arm like old fashioned carb linkeage. I think it already exists if you have the RTD position sensors and ECS computer....you would just need to figure out how to get a meaningful output from the ECS computer. What would you do with it? Just a logging function to review after a driving event and then make suspension adjustments before the next run? Now you got my mind jumping with ideas. I hate these cars.
