i have a 2000 C5 automatic n i want to get a more horse power n ,ore rumble but i dotn wana pay the $$$ so im thinking about gutting my cats out along wit n X-pipe and i kno i need 02 simulators. but i hear u need a certian amount of back pressure adn im a lil confused on the statement peopel say u need it but then y would the offer 02 simulators if ur guna cut out ur cats????? so if u got any input please feel free to tell me
I don't know %100 about the back pressure issue, but I have Magnaflow straights with just the resonators in the middle and it's loouuuuuuud. Big time. I love the sound, but the drone at normal crising speeds is unbearable....hats off to my girlfriend for being so forgiving.
With my old A4 C4, I had no mufflers on it and the bottom end may have suffered a bit, but my M6 C5 really woke up with the muffler and intake....revs a lot easier. Automatic is a little rough because you don't have much RPM control.... as far as droning is concerned. Just my opinions............
