Default Installing a Callaway - Any problems?

Just got a Callaway Intake; For those who did their own install, was there any unexpected problems? Or anything I should know about that will make this install easier?

I installed my Honker on my Z06. If you follow the instructiuons carefully and take your time you will have no problems. One tip, get everything re-assembled totally leaving all fasteners loose until everything is aligned. Then you can tighten it all up with no fitment problems. Good choice, it works great and looks like a factory installation.

The instructions that come with the honker are great.

I have noticed one thing though and wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. The wiring harness that attaches to the MAF sensor is touching and punched a small in the hood insulation. Anyone else notice this? And yes, the intake is sitting on the pins.

Yes, I also installed a lower radiator intake screen at the same time. I made my own with material I purchased at Home Depot. An $8 sheet is enough material to make screens for 6 cars. When you have the shroud out it will be the perfect time to clean out your radiator and in between the radiator and A/C condensor.

Main thing is to take your time. The Callaway instructions are great, but you only have one shot at getting it right. Test fit, measure, measure, mark, test fit, recheck, cut.... Mine sits right on the pins; but the grommets are so tight that it does not bottom out on them.

Good luck with your installation. You will enjoy the end result.
