Like Rich said, check your pulleys and make sure they are running fairly true and not chewing on the belts. Also check to make sure the grooves are clean. Use a wire brush in the grooves if necessary. Sand, dirt and other debris can (and does) collect in the grooves over time and can cause the belt to ride higher in the grooves than normal too. HTH

Someone said scrape a bar of soap on the underside of the belt would quite it up. I know it works great on zippers and screws going into wood.
That's just a temporary cure. Try the Goodyear Gatorback belts from Autozone. Lots of people here have posted great things about them. I just completed a H/C install with UD pulley so I have new Gates belts and they only took a week and a half to start squeaking. I just bought a couple of Gatorback belts but haven't installed them yet. I will post the results when I do.

Definitely get the Goodyear belts. My friend has an automtive shop and I've seen them cure MANY squealing problems. They just don't squeal where others do. Can't say why, but he swears by them.
I know when my belt was chirping they said it was sopmething called the Harmonic Balancer.....the chirping was unbearable. Prior to it being diagnosed with the above I had tried a belt dressing which made matters worse and eventually I had Chevy replace the belt. The chirp was still there but faint and they then put on some more belt dressing. The chirping got worse until I cleaned my engine, wiped off all that remained of any dressing and replaced the belt again and the chirping totally stopped. Thank Goodness, because to replace the harmonic balancer was over $800.00.
