Default Active Handling Engaging Sporadically

Need some advice - three people in our club are experiencing problems with the Active handling engaging for no apparant reason

One has had it engage on all 4 wheels at once when she reaches 42 mph

One has just one rear wheel engage just while going down the road

Another has one or two wheels engage while going down the road

Can anyone shed some light on this?

It's caused me to almost end up in a concrete wall at 80mph once and almost get T-boned another time...I'd rather not have it at all like practically every other car on the road then have to worry about GM's sensor crapping out on me and the car slamming on brakes randomly while going down the highway... but that's just me

I dont think the whole point of active handling and traction control is to "help" you while driving hard or racing. I think its more useful for that special ocasion when your daydreaming and something happens suddenly. Situations do come up like that. I'd like to know its there and working properly.

I'll argue this all night long... I was just cruising down the interstate at 80 one day and BAM it came on and almost put me into a wall. I was able to make it happen a few more times when I didn't turn the system off so I took it in, they replaced the sensor and all was fine for a few years. Another time about a month ago, turning left out of a restaurant, it came on locking the front wheels while I was in the middle of an intersection..I literally had to slide to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. If I had been going any slower and stalled before it had let up, I would have definetly been hit on the drivers side by a truck.

I think I'll go without it.
