Are you talking about the MAT sensor? I beleive I started with 5/8 inch and kept increasing the size of the hole with that, going in circular motions. It is a pain and will take awhile. JUST DON'T MAKE THE HOLE TOO BIG!

I recently did this and I believe it is an 11/16" hole - the rubber grommit will fit snugly into it. It was definitely not smaller than this size. Good luck

Go down the hardware store and buy a Unibit.
http://www.unibitstepdrill.com/

If your careful you can return it when your done. With this bit your done is two seconds with a perfect hole.
