Paul - the powerloader is a custom pcm program based on your specific mods...most of the forum vendors can get this for you and I think they are around $400.
A Powerloader adjusts your PCM settings to improve your car's performance in many ways. It adjusts your shift points and shift firmness to make an A4 tranny feel like it should have from the factory. It also manipulates the Torque Management System (put in PCM by GM to save on tire spin between gear shifts) to greatly increase your low-mid range torque. Gains of up to 25rwtq have been seen in the low RPM ranges. It also adjusts your fuel and timing tables to compensate for mods you have already made. It typically gets you a 7-8rwhp/rwtq peak gain.
It is a box that contains a custom wrote PCM program for your car. You just plug it into the Data Port below your steering wheel, and it does its magic. You then unplug it, and your car is ready to rock. You can then put the Powerloader on your shelf in case you have to re-powerload your car again if the dealership flashes your PCM back to stock. You can also send the Powerloader unit back to TTS to get it reprogrammed for new mods you add or changes you make to your car. The Powerloader is also undetectable by the dealership because it is based on an actual stock GM PCM program.
If you want any further information on it, or are interested in placing an order for one, please shoot me an email.
Gains of 25rwtq at the low rpm ranges? :bs: Wow! Thats lots of trq.!
So 25 trq on the torque management system and then average gain of 7-8rwhp/rwtq with the fuel and timing tables. If you add up the torque, thats 32-33rwtq. Wow!
I need one of those too!
Nate I think you need to re-read my reply, I am not sure where you are getting the 32-33rwtq gains out of what I said. Were you at the independant dyno-runs with Steve Cole as he developed the Powerloader? The Torque gains in the 2000-3000rpm range are very noticable, and only someone with a SOTP meter as accurate and "HONEST" :U as yours could feel the 7-8rwhp peak gains.
Also,I don't really care for your smirky replies to every reply I make on this forum. Your opinion on C5 mods is not gospel.
I will let our 150 satisfied Powerloader customers backup my opinions on this product.
Matt, smirky replies? Im not trying to be funny nor am I trying to reply to your every reply. If I see something posted in regards to something I sell or a product I know about, I will reply. Especially if I dont like what Im reading!
Again, you wrote earlier, 25rwtq gain on the torgue management system and 7-8hp/trq gain with the timing and fuel trims. So which is it? Is it one of these figures or both and can we total them up? 25+7or8=32-33.
Dont get on the defensive!
True, my word is not gospel, but I am under a hood of a C5 everyday installing parts. I know what works and what doesnt. How it works and what it costs. And I know BS when I see it!
I do not sell parts and work on C5s to make money(it comes in handy though). I do it because I enjoy it and love the cars. Therefore, I do not push products for the profit. I tell it like it is...
Believe me, there are dissatisfied customers too on the loader, but we wont go there. Not here anyway.
Im sure our 60 satisfied customers(our first GP early last year) would back up your 150 satisfied customers!
Paul, the loader does work, especially on the A4 cars. The torque management system Steve tweeks really works. Driveability is much better with his programming. Shift patterns, down shifts are improved. No more stomping the pedal to the ground to get the tranny to downshift!
Will it produce the power stated above? No, I dont think so. I have yet to see a dyno graph to prove me wrong.
It is a good purchase and Matt can help you out. I no longer elect to sell them because of the waiting period.
Im sure happy Nate is expanding(sideways couldnt resist)and moving his shop to Tempe not to close by but closer than lubbock. He will be a great asset to the C/4-C/5 and f/body market as well as the turbo and Japanese
car market.
I read the post its like a remake of the Smiths/Joneses and going abit to far
All I know is he spends well over 50% of his time wrenching and the ather1/2 studying to make sure forum members dont get taken and I know his hearts in the right place.
I cant wait tll late aug. to have him and his schooled team of techs even some key players from other tunersto get to work and crank out some ICBM'sAll with 2year/24k warranties. It will be nice to watch afinished project (yours) doing)dyno pulls.Good Luck to Matt& Nate Dave
A baseline stock dyno before the power loader and then a dyno after the program has been installed would be of great benefit to those who
are seeking RWHP & RWT gains thru programming.
I haven't seen dyno sheet from the folks with the power loaders and it would be cool if those that had recently purchased the loader could do a before and after comparison.
Also, could the firming up of shifts be misconstrued as a SOTP RWHP & RWT improvement to some folks?
I think I saw Forum Member TOBASCO post his dyno info from the 2nd Annual Crusie-In where he did back to back runs before and after the load. Maybe he will chime in soon.

Speaking of the Powerloader and the A4; i am still considering one just for minor changes in downshifting, and major modifications to torque management.
If I need to re-load the powerloader because the dealer flashed the car; will the powerloader totally erase all the dealer updates; or will the reload only overwrite the transmission info?
I think its a good gain on dyno figures but not 25rwtrq. Like I said before, not much on power but great on enhancing the driveability of the A4s. All in all, a great product for the A4s!
Weird that they show dyno readings above 4300rpm only...its probably around the rpm where the car wont down shift.
