i have american racing headers, by vette doc
hi flow cats, borla exhaust
blackwing air filter.
i want about 410-450 rwhp.
the car is not a daily driver. however, i live in NYC and there is a lot of traffic. so i can t go w/ a big cam. I dont run on the track, but I do want HP.
1) what size heads should i go w/
2) what cam
3) Should i go w/ fast intake 90 mm?
4) will i need a clutch
Very easy to run with no surging. that will produce around 416 rwhp.
If you want something more aggressive then the G5X3 is great. I have that with AFR heads and it is not bad in traffic. that will put you in the 450 range with stock gears.
You will probably not need a new clutch with 416 rwhp but you will with 450 rwhp.
you could also wait a bit and see how the tuners do with the ETP heads that they are trying now. Results should be posted soon by some local tuners.

See my sig. My cam may be a little too big if you drive in heavy traffic, but you could go one step smaller and still get good H/P #'s. I love the GM Performance Parts heads and they only run about $2,100. My tuner was suprised at the power they made and they are very close to stock compression ratios.
