How accurate do you think the www.corsaperf.com website is compared to the real thing. The Touring and the Pace exhaust sounds on the website are very impressive, but how does it compare to the real thing. I was in a C5 with the Touring system on it and recall it being very mild and not much different from stock. The sounds on the website have me second guessing my memory. Also, I thought the Pace system sounded right for me but the website seems to have it very aggresive. I am considering removing the Borla Stingers and going to the GHL's or Corsa Pace system. I spent 3 hours today doing 75 -80 mph on the interstate and the drone from my Stingers was getting to me.........Your input is appreciated. Thanks.

If you already heard the touring and thought that they were too "mild" then you should not second guess yourself, go with your gut.
I also heard the touring, when I was looking, and didn't think they were loud enough either.
I got the pace car edition and they are exactly what I was looking for, they are loud when I want them to be, and almost as quiet as stock when cruising. Plus there is NO drone at all in any RPM range!
I've got touring. Nice and quite at hwy speed and sound sweet when u get on it.
I was standing at the back of mine when it was on dyno after the headers were installed and when he nailed it I about %^%&* my pants scared me to death.
I've got the Corsa Titanium race system that they don't make anymore. The website clip sounds nothing like the exhaust in person. Insanely loud and aggressive BUT NO DRONE.

I bought from a forum member what we both thought were the Touring system. When I installed them, I thought they were somewhat louder then what I expected, but after driving for several days, I decided that they were just what I wanted. After a few weeks I decided to call Corsa and they told me how I could be sure they were Touring or not. Low and behold, they were the Pace Car or as some call them the Indy Cars. I am very happy with the way they sound, absolutely no drone at all. The sound clips I believe include the x-pipe since the gurgling or motorboat sound is not there. I personally like it that way. I think the sound clips are as close to reality as a sound clip can be. With all that said, I would highly recommend the Pace Cars, unless headers are in your future, as I am sure that would make them louder. I hope this helps and if you want more information, just PM me with your telephone number and a good time to call and hopefully I can answer your questions.
What guidance did Corsa gave you for identifying what exhaust system you had. I purchased my 2000 vert used with Corsa already on them. There is no identification as to what system they are, any guidance is appreciated.
I Love my corsa Indy's(pace). no drone at all when cruising. not a deep muscle car sound when you get on it more of a high pitched scream. aggressive yes obnoxious loud no. I think there is a big difference between sounding just loud and sounding loud and good. Once you get them past 3500-4000 they really come alive. just my $.02. hope it helps
My buddie EvilC5 has the touring setup, with Kooks, and an off road x. It sounds great, and I don't think I would want it any louder. If I was going to keep the cats, I would get the pace car. Without cats the touring is very nice. Standing at the starting line, the Corsa sounds great going down the track.
Listening to sound clips on your computer leaves much to be desired... kind of like the difference between listing to Live Rock Concert and listing to an 8 track tape.
"Live" is the only way to feel what the sound is like.
Like I tell everyone, if you want your car to sound stock at idle, then get the touring system. If you want a little more bang for your money, the Pace car system is perfect...For me, Ive had my Corsa Indies for five years, they owe me nothing. If I found something better I could buy it in an instant. I could sell my Corsa Indies for at least half of what they sell for new. They go in a day on the CF for sale forum. The reason I have them and suggest them to others is because to me they are perfect. Of course I am not a kid. I dont turn up the stereo so people three blocks away can hear it. I dont wear my hat on backward. I am Not cool, but my car and the exhaust gets alot of respect... typical comments are, "why doesn't my car sound like yours?" What's under the hood, that cant be stock". Or the usual thumbs up !.
I tell most people that they would be disappointed with the touring system, because it sounds stock. Touring would be good with headers and an aggressive cam . Dont use clipped off sound clips to try to get a feel for exhaust system tones. It's more about feel than it is hear.
The exhaust will also sound different with headers on the car. After I added LGM headers, the exhaust got much louder when getting on it. At idle the sound is close to the same.
The link by Pizzano is exactly what my Pace Cars (Indy) sound like. The way to tell the difference is a little bit of a PITA. You need to disconnect the pipe that goes into one of the mufflers. Look inside the muffler and if you see some sort of metal plates or baffles, it is the Touring. If you see nothing but a straight thru pipe, it is the Pace Cars. Before you do it, realize the sound is different enough to just tell by hearing it. I did it only because I thought I bought the Touring. It was a little bit of a pain to realign the tips afterwards.
As it has been said earlier, if your looking to put headers on down the road the Indies are definately to loud for my taste. My friend runs LG headers with the Pace and it is loud ,I have the Touring and it is great around town, but when I put my foot in it sounds awesome

I'm not too sure that mine got that much louder after header install, but it sure did sound better.
